In general, Invisalign is universally known as another form of dental braces. With that said, Invisalign is simply a set of clear aligners that you wear to make changes to your teeth. Over time your teeth will begin to shift and you will notice a difference in your smile. In saying this, the only difference between Invisalign and braces seems to be that braces are semi-permanent while Invisalign can be removed by the user at any point.
Invisalign uses clear aligners that are discreet and comfortable so you can smile with confidence throughout your treatment.
Invisalign is more than double the speed of traditional braces.
Aligners are removable so you can brush and floss as normal.
No more broken wires or loose brackets that can cut up your mouth. Also, you can eat whatever you want as you remove the Aligners to eat.
In general, both Invisalign and dental braces provide the same benefits. They allow individuals to have long-lasting results related to straighter teeth. The only real difference is that with Invisalign you wear clear aligners that are barely noticeable and with braces they are attached to your teeth. With that, they both provide the same effect and one is not more effective than another.
With Invisalign, you cannot eat while the aligners are in your mouth. This is to keep them clean and to maintain the overall condition of the aligners. In doing so, this also provides a more enjoyable eating experience.
The entire Invisalign experience is solely based on the needs of each individual. Most of the time, no two people are going to have the same needs, meaning the timeline will vary. With that said, most Invisalign treatments will take 12 to 18 months. More complicated treatments can be 24 months or longer depending on the individual. Not to worry, because at the end of your treatment you will have a smile that suits you!
The general rule when it comes to braces or Invisalign treatment usually begins around age 12. This is because a lot of your baby teeth have fallen out by this point and by getting a jumpstart on Invisalign, this can make your treatment much smoother in the long-run. Not to say, there is no specific age requirement.
Just like anything else, it’s very important to maintain the condition of your body. With that said, the proper care will ensure that your clear aligners will not get dirty. In doing so, this can help you avoid any possible tooth stains.
We’re welcoming new patients. All of us and “Floss” can’t wait to meet you.
